Jack Lack’s Listening Chair exists, in part, for exactly this: to sit with people who have reached later life with something worth saying, and to make sure it is heard.
The interviews gathered here are conversations, not performances. Each one follows a simple framework — a few anchor questions asked of everyone, and then the freedom to go wherever the person and their story need to go. There is no pressure toward conclusion or resolution. The chair simply holds the space.
